Furniture Design For Tomorrow’s Heirlooms

17th Street Designs, a staple in Coastal North Carolina, has been providing custom designs in the area for over 14 years. Known for handcrafting the ‘heirlooms of the future’ these pieces, created by a master craftsman, have been bringing a sense of unique, custom style to local homes and is now branching out to bring that same style to homes across the country. Creating pieces from reclaimed Oak, Pine, Walnut and exotic woods, your vision will come alive allowing you to have a custom made heirloom for generations to come.

John Crumley, Artisan

John has been in business at his Midtown location buying, selling and trading all types of furniture to and from customers everywhere. He can create, restore, refinish and repair any furniture that customers can conceive or bring in. He is an expert at stripping any type of finish on furniture and architectural elements, even paint.
His clientele ranges from sentimentalists bringing in family heirlooms in need of some loving restoration to dreamers with an idea for something to be specially designed and built from scratch. The finishes are natural oils and waxes made to withstand time and abuse. Great furniture only gets better with age and use. A walk through the 17th Street 10,000 square ft. warehouse, near downtown Wilmington, will give you a feel for what takes place there. The energy is unmistakable to most.
17th Street Antiques and Furniture Designs And Restoration will also handle insurance claims and provide free estimates.
My craft is working with mostly recycled and aged lumber to create new, handcrafted works of art,” says Crumley. “The equipment I use ranges from vintage power tools to fashioning with my own hands, depending on the challenge presented.
You owe it to yourself to visit 17th Street Antiques And Furniture Restoration for a first-hand look at some the pieces in the process of becoming treasured heirlooms for their owners.
