Downtown Wilmington's flagship farmers market, running year-round in front of Thalian Hall. Local produce, baked goods, honey, plants, jams, seafood, and artisan crafts. One of the longest-running markets in the region — a Saturday morning institution.

Wilmington's food truck scene comes together several times a year for large-scale rodeo events — 20 to 40+ trucks in one place, with live music, lawn games, and a party atmosphere. Locations rotate between Greenfield Lake Park, the riverfront, and brewery parking lots.
Most of Wilmington's craft breweries host rotating food truck nights throughout the week — Waterline Brewing, Ironclad, Flytrap, and others regularly park trucks in their lots. Follow your favorite brewery on social for their current truck schedule.
The Greenfield Lake Amphitheater hosts free and low-cost outdoor concerts throughout spring and summer. The lakeside setting under the cypress trees makes it one of the most atmospheric live music venues in the region. Bring a lawn chair and a cooler.
The City of Wilmington's Parks & Recreation department organizes summer evening concert series at various parks around the city. Local and regional acts cover rock, blues, country, jazz, and everything in between. Free, family-friendly, and a Wilmington summer staple.

Wilmington celebrates Independence Day with fireworks at two prime locations: the downtown riverfront (launched over the Cape Fear River) and Greenfield Lake. Both draws massive crowds. The riverfront show is best viewed from the Riverwalk or Battleship Point across the water.

The North Carolina Azalea Festival is Wilmington's signature spring event — a week-long celebration featuring a parade, garden tours, live concerts, a street fair, and the crowning of the festival queen. One of the oldest and largest festivals in North Carolina, running since 1948.
